YIN YOGA

"Yin Yoga is a complementary yoga practice to the more dynamic and invigorating yoga styles that are predominant today. Some call it the “other half of yoga.” In Yin Yoga, floor postures are held passively for several minutes in order to access a safe and positive ‘stress’ on the deep layers of connective tissue in the body."   Josh Summers

Gentle yoga

 
 

 Learn how to relax and stretch your entire body and mind all from either a seated, standing or reclined poses.  No  sun salutations.

Reiki

Reiki Sessions allow you to relax fully clothed on a treatment table or seated in a chair. Soothing music enhances the healing environment while the  practitioner softly places their hands on (or over) a client in a series of standard positions developed to address the whole body. The gentle infusion of Reiki energy facilitates and accelerates the body's natural healing abilities. Reduces stress and creates relaxation.

Mindful Morning Yoga

Begin with a  guided or semi guided meditation  to relax your mind and body then move on to a gentle yoga class to stretch your entire body until you melt into savasana! 

Classes are 60 min.

Vinyasa Flow

(Currently being taught at the CDYMCA Schenectady Branch)

Sun Salutations, Balancing postures and much more! Stretch your mind and body while generating some heat!

Paint  & Pose  Workshops

A fun party combining Yoga and Painting! Learn about how everyone's version of a pose will never look the same on any "body" at the same time create a picture using paint and canvas! This workshop is 2 Hrs.

Small Group Parties

  • Small Group Parties include your choice of Vinyasa Flow , Gentle Yoga or  something more specific , designed with participants experience in mind. Sessions begin at 60 min. 
 

 

Private Sessions

  • Private Sessions can be catered to the individual student.  It could be a private yoga class, meditation, learning basic poses at your own pace, learn modifications for any restrictions you may have, yoga etiquette instruction, or a combination of everything.  Length of session is negotiated between instructor and student.
