From the first time I stepped on a yoga mat, I knew somewhere inside me that I had found something. I was totally out of my comfort zone and yet I felt like I was "home" and for the first time, all the noise in my head stopped.

My personal yoga practice has taught me many things and continues to do so every day. I've learned that some people feel they are too old, or not flexible or athletic enough to practice yoga. I hope to show by example, that people of all ages and varying physical abilities can practice and enjoy yoga. Regardless of age, background or experience level, I believe yoga can help everyone gain strength, flexibility, peace and integrity in both mind and body. My diverse life experiences - professionally, charitably and personally - give me the unique ability to relate to, motivate and provide a welcoming environment for my students.

For me, yoga is learning to let things go, to accept what you cannot change, to be the change when you can, and show the world you can be strong, confident and live with integrity in all things. Knowing always, that you have nothing to prove to anyone but yourself.

I'm always excited when someone develops a love for yoga. My true joy is discovering what motivates people to pursue their chosen path. It is a privilege to guide people to develop a regular yoga practice both on and off their mats.

Mind & Body

It is never too late to begin your yoga journey. Although many people feel that yoga is for young, flexible individuals, older, less flexible, those with physical limitations, even those recovering from an injury can practice yoga.   Any consistent yoga practice has been shown to aid most people physically and mentally. Physically, yoga helps to increase core strength, flexibility and muscle tone while also improving respiration, digestion, circulation, and posture. In some people, it may help lower blood pressure, assist in maintaining weight, and may also help in relieving pain and tension. Mentally, yoga improves intuition, concentration and memory while also increasing mental awareness, self-acceptance, and confidence. It neutralizes stress, helps focus the mind on the present, and unblocks energy flow.
